Couple arrested for sex in public
PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

A Florida couple landed themselves in jail this week when things got a little too hot and heavy atop a soccer-mom style coupe, which was unfortunately still for sale on a West Palm Beach dealership lot. The incident was reported around 3 a.m. on Monday by a now-scarred witness who said he could both see and hear the magic unfolding atop a 2004 Kia Sedona inside the lot of  Mike’s Auto Sales on Dixie Highway.

The couple did not react kindly to the accidental audience member and began yelling at him when he was spotted, the Sun Sentinel reports. By the time police arrived, the amorous couple, who have since been identified as Erin Byrd, 18, and Ramon Mitchell, 29, had retreated to the inside of the van, despite the fact that it did not belong to either of them.

Police said that the 300-pound Mitchell spit in the face of Officer Sarah Burgoon, one of the arresting female officers, as the couple was taken into custody. According to wsbradio, Burgoon was forced to report to the nearby St. Mary’s Medical Center in order to get checked out due to “bio-hazard exposure.”

Both members of the couple where charged with lewd and lascivious behavior for the romp, as well as with trespassing and auto burglary due to the fact that it took place inside an auto lot. Mitchell, who told police he works at a local Improv comedy club, was additionally charged with felony assault on a law enforcement due to the spit he hurled into the face of Officer Burgoon

Though Byrd was released Tuesday from the Palm Beach County jail, her partner in the kinky crime remains in custody. His bail has been set at $11,000.  The owner of the auto dealership later confirmed to police that, to the surprise of no one, he had not indeed given his permission for the couple to enter the lot.

Whether a markdown of any sort will be awarded to the newly christened vehicle is not yet known.
