Reviews of the Top Betting Sites for the Cheltenham Festival
You’ve seen what the best Cheltenham betting sites are but not why and what they have to offer. That’s where our experts come in. They have conducted in-depth reviews for six of the very best of these, so you can see what’s so great about them:
1. Spreadex – First Race Free Bet if Your Horse Places But Doesn’t Win
Starting things off with Spreadex, the spread betting experts provide two gambling services for the price of one. While it’s important that their own niche comes with added risk like potential losses exceeding stake and deposit values, you can also bet on Cheltenham through traditional fixed odds prices. This gives you the best of both worlds, and few UK betting sites can do that.
Most of the Spreadex Cheltenham Festival offers are fixed odds related, however, with a free bet of up to £20 paid as compensation if your horse finishes second to the SP favourite in any race. The first race every single day of the big meeting also qualifies for this deal if your selection runs into a place, regardless of whether the winner is the market leader or not.
It’s a shame that Best Odds Guaranteed is missing from Spreadex’s suite of promotions. Other Cheltenham betting sites provide that, but there’s live streaming of all the Festival action for free, so you can keep up to date with what’s happening. Spreadex pay out on both the First Past the Post and any amended result following a Stewards’ Enquiry, so that’s reassuring for punters.
Welcome Offer | Bet £25 on Fixed Odds, Get £50 in Bonuses |

- First Race free bet at Festival if horse places
- First Past the Post & amended result pay outs
- Free bet if 2nd to SP favourite on each race
- Live stream every single Cheltenham event
- Spread bets available throughout the Festival
What We Don’t Like:
- Cheltenham fixed odds bet don’t have BOG
2. BetUK – Acca & Horse Racing Free Bet Clubs
You can bag a £5 Free Bet every week throughout the season with Acca Club. After the revamping of BetUK Acca Club to give you even more value for your money this offers something else in terms of worth.
You have to place a bet of £20 on accumulators with five legs or more (each leg must have minimum odds of 1.2 or more). Upon the settlement of the accumulator, a £5 Free Bet will be credited to your account.
If you claim your bonus card on your My Promotions page, you get 5 profit boosts to use on accas with different numbers of selections. The minimum odds per selection is 1.2 (1/5). The maximum stake to use the profit boosts is £20 and your profit boosts will increase your winnings up to a max of £1000 per boost.
You can get 5 boosts every week, refreshing every Monday – visit the “My Promotions” page again next week to claim your new boosts. You can claim five profit boosts in a week up to a maximum of a 50% profit boost.
Terms:
£5 Free Bet: T&Cs Apply. Min bet of £20 or more on 5 folds & upwards (odds per selection 1/5 (1.2) or greater). 3. Rhino – Best Odds Guaranteed for Festival from Newcomers
As one of the top new Cheltenham bookies around today, Rhino provide Best Odds Guaranteed from 10am on race days across all UK and Irish horse racing meetings. That includes the Festival. It’s not something that all of their rivals provide either, so is a big statement of intent from this up-and-coming brand.
Rhino are also in line with other Cheltenham betting sites on Extra Place Races and their charged up odds provide price boosts on the biggest sporting events. They are missing live streaming of the Festival and horse racing in general, but it’s early days for these new kids on the block who have laid some solid foundations in terms of coverage.

- Regular price boosts & enhanced odds
What We Don’t Like:
- Lacks live streaming service
4. Betgoodwin – Cheltenham Boosts Available Throughout Festival
Once famed for their telephone betting, Betgoodwin go all in to the online marketplace. Their claims as one of the best Cheltenham betting sites stem from four Money Back as a Free Bet offers with a maximum “refund” of £100 applying if your qualifying selections are beaten by a nose in all races, under half-a-length in steeplechase and finish second to a 50/1 or bigger outsider.
Punters can also get the same deal if your horse falls at the last when in front. Supporting these core pillars is the Best Odds Guaranteed promotion with that cover in place from 7am on the day of the races. There are also some Cheltenham Boosts providing enhanced odds that you won’t want to miss out on.
Betgoodwin go Extra Places on certain Festival races and you can live stream everything going on during the meeting as well. They could probably have a better new customer offer and provide some more deals that don’t just mitigate potential loss, but it’s clear they have come an awful long way from their humble origins as a telephone betting service.

- BOG on all UK horse racing from 7am
- Cheltenham Boosts give extra value
- Live streaming of the Festival on site
- Multiple Money Back as Free Bet offers
What We Don’t Like:

5. QuinnBet – Huge Range of Cheltenham Promotions for Punters
QuinnBet have developed a reputation for Cheltenham betting offers that most rivals could only dream of. Their range is pretty large from Money Back as a Free Bet on selected races if your horse finishes placed or second to the SP favourite to Extra Place, Fallers Insurance and Non-Runner cashback, they go hard it from a promotional standpoint.
Adding to these are bonuses paid on top of winning accumulators and the award of a £5 free bet when you place four Lucky 15s throughout the Festival. Like other leading Cheltenham betting sites today, QuinnBet have live streaming of all the Festival races to hand so you can bet and watch through the same platform.
If there’s such a thing as too many deals, then they’re probably verging on it, but this does show a real commitment to making a fuss of Cheltenham. There are instances where their odds could be more competitive, but that’s a minor complaint against a wall of offers that cater for every type of punter.

There’s also a £5 cash bonus offer when you wager £50 on Cheltenham and Willie Mullins trains the Gold Cup winner. This unique approach is different.
You can also get up to £5,000 in cash paid as extra winnings on top of a successful accumulator with this deal extended to horse racing. Although 10bet don’t offer Best Odds Guaranteed, which is a shame, they do let you stream all of the Cheltenham races live on their desktop site and mobile apps. 8. William Hill – Big Name Bookies for Festival Betting
Cheltenham bookmakers don’t come any bigger than William Hill, who are famed for their High Street betting shop presence. Their online platform is one of the leading bookies in the entire sector too, thanks to Festival promotions like Extra Place Races, Epic Odds that act as massive price boosts and Best Odds Guaranteed. The latter is a little later than most competitors, however, starting at 10am on race days.
William Hill’s Top Price Guarantee on Cheltenham Festival Championship Races is important so punters know they’re getting value. Live streaming on all events is free through their Betting TV Channel. You can see what the top and trending bets are for the meeting down the side. 9. Tote – Pool Betting Service that Guarantees to Match SP
And now, for something completely different. The Tote don’t do fixed odds betting on Cheltenham like other bookies. They provide a different service. This is the home of pari-mutuel betting pools where the popularity of horses running at the Festival with punters determines the returned dividends you get.
Thanks to the Tote Guarantee, all win wagers you have with them will match the SP on fixed odds Cheltenham betting sites and that ensures you aren’t short-changed by taking up this alternative. You may even get a better return using their service, especially when backing outsiders for a win and place. Even bigger dividends are available through the Tote Plus promotion.
With a free Placepot available for the opening day of the Festival and free live streaming, the Tote do plenty as a unique service against regular Cheltenham bookies. Perhaps the only drawbacks to betting with them is the lack of Extra Places and, because dividends aren’t calculated until after a ace is off, there’s no Best Odds Guaranteed deal accompanying this service.
