The American coffee chain Starbucks Odyssey has successfully launched the beta version of its highly anticipated NFT loyalty program. The new program will include immersive coffee experiences and NFTs.
Starbucks Launches Its Beta NFT Loyalty Program
In a December 9 press release, the American multinational chain of coffeehouses confirmed launching a beta version of its much-awaited blockchain-powered NFT loyalty program for its customers.

Starbucks Odyssey announced its integration with the decentralized scaling solution Polygon network on September 12 and confirmed plans to allow its customers to use digital stamps as non-fungible tokens. While commenting about the launching of the new NFT project, the company wrote:
“Starbucks Odyssey is an experience surrounded by a digital community where members can come together, interact, and share their love of coffee. Starbucks is using meaningful elements of Web3 technology to reward members in innovative ways.”
Starbuck’s Beta NFT Loyalty Program Overview
In the past several months, Starbucks Odyssey has been exploring ways of incentivizing its customers. The coffee chain has begun to test a new loyalty program that combines customer rewards with NFT collecting and gamified elements.
The new Starbucks Reward program will be available to a small group of waitlist members, including coffee customers and employees. The program will allow them to engage in an interactive “journey that earns journey stamps in the form of Polygon-based NFTs.
Moreover, the new program will give users Odyssey reward points redeemable for perks in the coffee chain and reset at the year’s end. They will also allow customers and employees to access future experiences, including virtual espresso martini-making classes, exclusive events, and a trip to the Starbucks roasteries and coffee farms.
In the meantime, the new Starbucks Odyssey Beta loyalty program is open to early waitlist members. From January, the company will send monthly invitations to more customers, allowing them to access the Starbucks Odyssey NFT marketplace.
The new NFT marketplace powered by Nifty Gateway will allow customers and employees to buy and sell their digital collectible stamps. According to the company, participants will be able to acquire stamps directly using their debit and credit cards from next year.
