The mixed reality gaming platform, Basement Sports has unleashed a collection of non-fungible tokens representing the number of teams participating in the 2022 World Cup. The NFT collection features a limited edition of 32,000 NFTs.
Basements Sports Launches Football-inspired NFTs
Basements Sports first hinted at plans to launch new football-inspired digital collectibles earlier this month. According to the announcement, the new NFT collection will feature 32,000 unique NFTs.
The gaming platform has subdivided the collection into a batch of 1,000 NFTs, representing all the 32 teams participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup football tournament in Doha, Qatar. The football fun began on November 20 and will run until December 18.
Basement Sports’ Team NFTs will allow football fans to stream World Cup football matches live and earn reward points called Kidcoin. While commenting about the new NFT projects, Arman Rousta, the founder of Basement Sports, remarked:
“There has never been a soccer fan club like this, with gaming options where your character comes to life. By minting their own player NFTs, worldwide futbol fans get exclusive access to game features, Kidcoin rewards, sports merchandise and VIP experiences – both virtual and real world.”
Other FIFA 2022 World Cup-Backed NFTs
The digital assets market has seen a significant surge in the number of new NFTs launching amid the ongoing World Cup football fun festival. Last week, Cristiano Ronald teamed up with Binance to football-inspired NFTs.
In the same context, the global fintech firm and one of the official world cup sponsors, Visa, partnered with crypto.com to launch football-backed NFTs. The NFT series featured iconic FIFA World Cup goals from five legendary footballers, such as Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen, and Maxi Rodriguez.
In the meantime, the new World Cup Team NFTs are live for auction on the Basement Sports NFT marketplace. Moreover, football fans can also trade the new Team NFTs on the OpenSea NFT marketplace.
