Fluff Friends Rescue mobile game

Love animals? Like mobile games? Then it’s time for you to check out MindJolt SGN’s joint effort with the Humane Society, ‘Fluff Friends Rescue’ — a mobile game available on iTunes.

Fluff Friends was created to raise awareness about what it’s like to rescue an animal from the Humane Society, while creating a fun experience for the player.

Mobile Marketer notes, “In the game, players are introduced to the real-world challenges of rescuing pets by nursing animals back to health while running their own animal shelter.”

What makes the Fluff Friends Rescue game so different from other mobile virtual pet games is that it also raises funds for homeless, injured, and at-risk animals. The Humane Society and MindJolt SGN do this by offering branded items for sale in the game that players can purchase. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the sale of the digital game items will go directly toward Humane Society’s animal rescue team.

The Humane Society is hoping that once people see how rewarding it is to take care of a virtual pet, that maybe they’ll decide to visit one of their shelters and adopt a real furry friend of their own! In a future version of the Fluff Friends Rescue game, there will be a PetFinder feature that will offer real-time access to real adoptions for pets as well as branded merchandise.

Here’s the official description of the game: “Fluff Friends Rescue is the adorable game where you design, build and grow your ideal pet rescue! Find lost pets in the woods and take them to the veterinarian for a thorough health check-up, or off to the groomers for a bubbly-bath. What’s the reward for being a pet hero? Non-stop cuddle time and seeing your Fluff Friends find their forever home!”

I think this mobile game is a great idea – it’s a fun and interactive game that benefits homeless animals. I’d say MindJolt SGN and the Humane Society have the right idea when it comes to how to use mobile technology to their advantage.
