Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are officially man and wife! The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor said that he could not wait to marry Heard and so they have tied the knot ahead of their planned weekend nuptials.
There were rumors that Depp and Heard planned to marry on his private island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, in the Bahamas. They were reported to be getting married in front of fifty guests, including family and friends. It seems his claim of not waiting was spot on, as the couple tied the knot in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been dating since 2012, following meeting on the set of their movie The Rum Diary. They began their relationship following the end of the actor’s 14-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. He and Paradis have two children together, Lily-Rose and Jack Depp.
Depp and Heard became engaged when he popped the question to the actress on New Year’s Eve in 2013. The duo were constantly haunted by rumors that they split up, but were seen out and about together, thus throwing off the reports that they’d gone their separate ways.
The duo found controversy together when he appeared drunk during a speech at a recent awards show. She was said to be upset over his problems with booze and the rumors stated that they were close to breaking things off. Despite that, their wedding went off without a hitch – and quicker than what was previously believed to be their wedding date.
Sources said that the couple chose the weekend to tie the knot because of their busy work schedules. The source revealed, “Amber has been filming a movie in London, and he’s getting ready to film the next Pirates of the Caribbean in Australia. So this is the only time that everyone could get together.”
