To The Moon is one of the latest of five games to have been released by the Tamadoge crypto project, a Play-2-Earn ecosystem. It has the same graphical aesthetics as its predecessors – including Super Doge and Rocket Doge – but sports simpler and quirkier controls coupled with challenging gameplay that provides hours of fun.
In this To The Moon crypto game review, we will review the different aspects of this P2E game to see what kind of fun aspects it brings to Tamadoge’s current P2E ecosystem in 2025. To try the game, visit tamadoge.io at the link below.
What is Tamadoge – The Ecosystem To The Moon Sprung From
Tamadoge is a new crypto project set inside the memecoin universe that first came into the picture as a presale in 2022. Tamadoge promised to bring a truly “fun” gameplay ecosystem and redefine crypto gaming, leading it to conclude its presale well ahead of time.
Once its native token TAMA hit exchanges, including at first OKX – and now Bybit – it went up by 20x, bringing high gains for early buyers. While a retrace did happen soon after – which is not uncommon for any recently released memecoin – the token’s value has remained steady around its listing price due to the emergence of Tamadoge NFTs and all its game releases.
Tamadoge (TAMA) could perform as well as it did because it added a great utility without compromising its memecoin aesthetics. It calls itself the “play to earn Dogecoin,” the developments so far stand as a testament to that.
The project aims to create a doge-based metaverse where its Tamadoge pet NFTs act as player characters. Players can buy Tamadoge NFTs from OpenSea or the upcoming Tamadoge Pet Store.
If that part of the roadmap is successful, TAMA could be one of the best metaverse cryptos to watch in the coming months.

To The Moon Crypto Game – A Complete Review
To The Moon is a 2D game set in the same universe as the previous games. Players have one goal here, climb up the platforms while collecting points and not fall. While everything from the color scheme to the simplicity that this game has is similar to the previous two games, there are many new factors here. This section will give you an overview of these aspects to showcase the potential of this game to be appealing to non-crypto gamers as well.
Graphics
The graphics of To The Moon are not so different from other games set in the Tamadoge Arcade. You have your pixelated doge traversing up the pixelated platform to reach the pixelated moon. However, even though only pixels are involved – the game looks fun. No one is going to look at this game and think anything but fun. While we could have done with more colors, as the same brown aesthetics with a blue backdrop make the game a bit monotonous, there is nothing to complain about here – partly because the graphics are an expression of the gameplay.
In the background of this game is a desert, where the main color is light brown. And as your hoppity hop hops off the ground, you are met with a blue sky in the background. And as you ascend, the sky becomes darker – signifying that you are reaching “To The Moon”. Little touches like that make this game fun to play.
And because of this simplicity of graphics, we didn’t encounter any glitches.
Gameplay
Now comes the meat of the game – the gameplay. The difficulty of this gameplay lies somewhere between Super Doge and Rocket Doge. The gameplay is much more difficult than Super Doge but a tad bit easier than Rocket Doge. It seems like the devs have hit the difficulty sweet spot they wanted for this game.
You play as a Doge, where you have to move vertically by jumping from platform to platform. Since the platforms become smaller the higher you go, you need to be precise.
Some platforms are worth a single block – and there are others that are wide. The thinner platforms have more coins floating above than the wider ones. It means that you need to pick between the two if you want to make it to the finish line – while making sure that you don’t fall.
And don’t expect to fall on a lower platform below the screen if you are not able to land precisely. Much like Rocket Doge, the platforms that disappear from the skin do disappear. There are also some soft platforms that you must swiftly jump off of since they crash after a single bounce.
The good news is that the moment you collect coins, you are propelled upwards. So, it is not like the game is unfair here. The more coins you can collect consecutively, the more you move upwards. The more coins you are able to collect, the faster you will reach “To The Moon”.
Each coin is worth one point, which makes it necessary that you accumulate the most before falling. Go up as much as possible and collect as much as you can. You have to make split decisions if you are using the “Pay to Play mode” since you would need to pay to start the game.
Thankfully, there are power-ups that make this game a bit more forgiving. But you will only encounter them as you move up sufficiently. Overall, the gameplay is satisfactory. There was enough on display to make us want to continue playing this game.
Crypto games have a reputation for being less fun to play than normal games, but the To The Moon crypto game is bucking that trend with some addictive elements. It has made collecting points part of the locomotion – you need to collect them to move your doge to a higher level. This is one part of the gameplay that makes you want to keep on playing and not stop at any given moment.
Sound
To The Moon features an upbeat and simple soundtrack. Imagine the old Mario soundtrack but for the Doge universe.
There are no bombastic, fast-paced sounds to move you away from your target. You are simply collecting the points and moving upwards while listening to a low-pace beat. That helped us focus instantly on this game as we weren’t distracted by the sound one bit – it added to the experience.
However, if you still think the soundtrack is loud, you can turn it off while going into settings. And as for the gameplay sounds, they are standard. You get a bouncy “bong” when you spring off the platform, you get a “tinn” sound when you collect points, and you get the same triple-beat as you hit the platform wrong and fall to the starting position.
In other words, there is not much to say about the soundtrack – but what we were able to witness here was more than enough for us to go on.
We liked the feel of the game overall. The graphics might be a bit monotone, but you won’t be paying much attention to them since you will be engrossed in the gameplay. The tying of the coin collection and motion of the doge gives this game a leg up above the previous two games – where your goal was to only collect tokens and move forward. And while there is not much we have to say about the soundtrack, we were satisfied by just having that feature included.
What is Tamadoge Arcade – A Prelude to the Tamaverse
While the arcade started out as a simple listicle, it has now transformed into an island where each game has its own area. Every area has a dog who is either fighting to survive or trying to experiment with its tools to go “To The Moon”.
The entire ecosystem lies within the Tamadoge arcade is lore-rich, and much of it can be self-made. That’s the beauty of a simplistic game – it allows you to have your own story. And the island’s look also has a great feel to it.
All five games that were initially planned by the ecosystem, including Tama Blast and Tamadoge Run, have now dropped. This, in conjunction with the multiple partnerships and listings, TAMA has taken a stride towards a positive direction. The impact of that may soon be seen on the price charts.
Overall, Tamadoge Arcade has given us the first look at the Tamaverse – but through a 2D lens. When the Tamaverse finally arrives, this island will likely take a 3D shape where each 3D-rendition of Tamadoge NFTs can reside in.
Why are Tamadoge NFT Games Better for the Crypto Industry
Super Doge gave us the starting point, Rocket Doge gave us the difficulty, and To The Moon balanced every aspect of the game. Each progression tells us a story of what an NFT game has the potential to be. And here are the reasons why Tamadoge NFT games poise to be the best in the industry.
Experienced Leadership
One of the many shortfalls suffered by other crypto-gaming projects is the lack of game-centric leadership. The CEOs that are sailing those NFT games don’t have much knowledge about what a game is supposed to be. Fun should be a major factor. And the gaming crowd has already grown tired of developers commodifying every aspect of the gameplay. So the presence of such leadership doesn’t help much.
The Tamadoge NFT games are helmed by an experienced developer. His name is Jon Bishop, and he possesses experience in multiple gaming fields. He once headed Outright Games – a leading “family friendly” game publisher with games like Paw Petrol, Chaos, Dino Kart, Bratz, and more under its belt.
His financial acumen comes from working in places such as eBay and PayPal. This combination of experience ensures Tamadoge never strays away from its vision to create games that the crypto community and the gaming community are interested in. Bishop was recently interviewed by Bybit.

Focus on Gameplay
It may be about talking about the same thing over and over again – but the gameplay is the aspect that has largely been ignored by many crypto game developers. Not one aspect of these projects talks about the gameplay, and most discussion is only about the earning mechanics. To many, gaming in crypto is just a catchall term to advertise the underlying DeFi.
While there is nothing overbearingly wrong with that – DeFi is a definitive part of the blockchain, the issue arrives because there are not many gamers interested in crypto gaming offerings. Gamers are looking for the fun aspects of the game. They want to jump, run and collect points using their characters just because it makes them feel elated.
Tamadoge has gone above and beyond to ensure that players have fun as they play the games. Every game to have been released till now has the right gameplay hook to it. There are no “idle” games, they are no “growing mechanics” that add unnecessary lore to crypto games with no gameplay. What is the focus here is gameplay.
In To The Moon, the gameplay focus is on a skill-based approach where collecting points and traversing through the platforms matter equally. There is no added triteness here. Every gameplay aspect matters – which may be one of the first times it has happened in the crypto space. That alone makes To The Moon one of the best NFT games to play in 2025.
Reachable Goals
When crypto games became a buzzword, many developers came forward with tall tales of 3D universes that host games similar to Skyrim, not realizing the limitations of Web 3 gaming. These projects, idealistic in their approach and showing integrity in their conduct, weren’t able to pull through and ended up failing as a project.
Tamadoge has thus stepped foot into the gameplay space with a nuanced focus on gameplay specifically. The game is set in. a 2D space where everything has been made simple to let the “gameplay” part of the game express itself. The games are simple and fun. They have simple tasks of collecting points without dying – which adds to the excitement factor without overcomplicating things.
This is an example of a cryptocurrency project setting reachable goals to ensure that game that was originally envisioned can be created and become one of the best crypto games on the market.
Non-Crypto Gamers can Also Play the Game
Games like Axie Infinity have drawn a lot of criticism from the market because of their high-entry barrier. The only reason that this entry-level doesn’t appear so high right now is because of the bear market. But it still presents a case – no one wants to pay to play a game without trying it out. And since the entire premise of crypto gaming is based on commodifying the gameplay aspects to make the P2E system work, crypto games have their work cut out for them if they want to attract crypto gamers.
That is why Tamadoge NFT games are one of the best P2E games on our list. They have created a free-to-play mode and a pay-to-play mode. Noncrypto gamers can at least try the game out before deciding to go for it. That inclusive approach has the potential to push this project even further.
Tamadoge Games Show That the Metaverse is Coming Soon
Many projects in the past have claimed to enter the metaverse, and only a handful of them was able to achieve it. Tamadoge is creating its own Tamaverse, and Tamadoge Arcade has given us the first glance at that through a 2D approach.
That might not be much for someone who has only just entered the blockchain ecosystem, but for crypto watchers who have been craving for a “Second Life” or the second “Decentraland” to arrive, the arrival of Tamadoge Arcade shows signs of major progress.
Simplification of DeFi
DeFi has always been a complex topic to talk about. While it refers to the decentralized pool where everyone can contribute with funds using an automated system – an AMM – when we get down to the nitty-gritty of this matter, the entire space becomes much more complicated.
To The Moon and the games before it on Tamadoge Arcade have different. They have simplified DeFi. Essentially gamifying the DeFi, these projects make earning the tokens through gameplay easier and make the earning mechanic more understandable for everyone.
Making Way for More Games In The Market
Tamadoge NFT games can inspire other crypto projects in the P2E niche. There has not been one cryptocurrency expert or a crypto gaming enthusiast to have tried this game that said the games aren’t good. The simple premise Tamadoge NFT games have decided to go with is its greatest strength that, in the long run, would be more beneficial for other NFT gaming projects that come out in the future.
More Recent Traction Than Decentraland and The Sandbox
Tamadoge is en route to creating its mobile application, and on the way, it has surpassed the player count of Decentraland and The Sandbox. Those metaverse industry leaders have fallen behind now due to their lackluster gameplay and high entry barrier. Tamadoge, however, is facing no issues and has accumulated 35k monthly players. Decentraland and The Sandbox, on the other hand, have barely made it around 3k and 6k, respectively.
Listings and Partnerships
Tamadoge has also been listed on another cryptocurrency exchange, ByBit. The token has also been added to BC.Game, the world’s leading crypto casino that already supports upwards of 100 cryptocurrencies.
And the latest partnership that Tamadoge has entered is with SpongeBob, a viral memecoin that jumped by 70x before retracing. Tamadoge also has a SPONGE airdrop planned for TAMA holders.
These positives could push Tamadoge even further in the price charts.
Tama Price Uptrend
The Tamadoge price saw an upsurge thanks to Bitcoin’s upswing. In the first fortnight of April 2023, the TAMA price went up by a massive 268%. And while the token has taken a corrective path since then, recent news related to partnerships as well as the airdrop has formed some green candles. That momentum may continue to build once more news arrives about the Tamadoge mobile app.
In terms of cryptocurrencies to buy to go the moon, TAMA may be one of those with its low market cap of under $20 million at the time of writing.

To the Moon Crypto Game – The Verdict
To The Moon has seen Tamadoge take another direction toward its original vision. It has fun gameplay, a great and simple-to-understand earning mechanic, and a unique approach to DeFi that paves the way for the ramifications of complex concepts of blockchain.
The project has also opted for a more transparent approach to its roadmap that sets it apart from other projects. People can now observe in real time where the Tamadoge project is heading towards.
The game is available in two versions – free-to-play and pay-to-play. The former is suitable for those who want to try the game out first, and the latter is great for those who want to jump straight into earning tokens.
