Blockchain gaming is expected to become one of the biggest growth areas in the crypto space in the next decade.

But despite the massive potential, crypto gaming has yet to attract either hardcore or casual gamers.

While the top crypto games currently average around 500,000 to a million unique users monthly, according to DappRadar, games such as Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox attract millions every day.

Simple mobile games such as Among Us and Candy Crush can fare even better and have attracted billions of downloads.

How Tamadoge Can Go Mainstream

Blockchain games have so far been plagued by a number of issues, including bad and underdeveloped graphics and gameplay and accusations of greed from developers.

There have also been unforeseen issues, such as with the Axie Infinity hack – which saw $600 million of investors’ money lost.

Tamadoge wants to become the top blockchain game on the market and gain mass appeal to its ecosystem.

The game has a number of advantages over rivals to achieve that.

Based on 90s craze Tamagotchi – which took the world by storm and sold 40 million units in its first two years – the game has name recognition because of Tamagotchi and the ‘Doge’ meme coin element.

The game is aiming to be simple and easy-to-use and, crucially, is available on mobile, meaning it does not need expensive gaming consoles or PCs to run it.

Tamadoge will see players feed, care for and grow their pets until they are fully grown, where they will then do battle against other players for the chance to move up a global leaderboard and earn rewards.

The most addictive and re-playable games are also the simplest and Tamadoge will fall into that category.

Players purchase digital assets, such as toys, treats and food, to grow their pets while each has a unique design, character and ability traits.

It is a game that will not only appeal to adults but also to younger people.

Furthermore, the developers are also producing other arcade style games to compliment the main game.

In a Medium article earlier this week, images of one of the games – Enter the Tamaverse – were revealed.

The pictures instantly conjured memories of popular side-scrolling platform games such as Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Further along the roadmap more arcade games will be released while an augmented reality app is also in development and set for release at the end of 2023.

The app will allow Tamadoge players to take their pets out into the real world to hunt and explore, much like the Pokemon GO craze of 2016.

Tamasdoge Ultra-Rare NFTs Attract Big Bids

The first 100 ultra-rare Tamadoge pets went on sale on NFT marketplace OpenSea on October 6 via auction, with a starting bid of 1ETH.

The collection, which boasts improved stats compared to lower tier Tamadoges, has since seen a huge number of bids and interest.

Tamadoge #1 is currently the most popular and has, at the time of writing, received a high bid over 3.75ETH – approx. $4,600.

Multiple ultra-rare Tamadoges have attracted bids over 2ETH, but potential investors should note these are just 100 of a total 21,100 collection.

Another 1,000 rare and 20,000 common Tamadoge NFTs will be put up for sale in the coming weeks, with details to follow soon.
