Felix Lengyel, better known as xQc online, is a Canadian content creator who exploded onto the scene as an exciting video game streamer and professional Overwatch player many years ago. As of 2024, XQC’s net worth is estimated at over $60 million, mostly thanks to his streaming career.
xQc’s career began in 2016. He has since become one of the biggest celebrities in the streaming world, especially on Twitch. In 2020 and 2021, Felix Lengyel was the most-watched streamer on the platform.
In this post, we’ll delve into xQc’s story and his financial success.
xQc’s Net Worth Breakdown:
Some sites have estimated xQc’s net worth in 2024 to be about $50 million. However, our research puts our estimate at a significantly higher number. The famous streamer has earned $70-100 million from his Kick deal alone. Post-taxation, this deal would add at least $35-50 million to his wealth.
That doesn’t even include his previous earnings. We found that he has earned $8 million in three years since 2019, and he earns around $1 million a month these days! If we consider the latter number, the streamer has earned over $50 million from Twitch, brand deals, and subscriptions to date. That doesn’t even include his tournament earnings, YouTube earnings, and merchandise deals!
Based on all the data we found, and our calculations post-taxation, we estimate xQc’s net worth in 2024 to be between $60 and $75 million.

xQc Net Worth: Early Life and Education
Lengyel was born in Laval, Quebec, Canada, on November 12, 1995, but we don’t know much more about his childhood as he rarely discusses the topic. We know that he started streaming at 19 years old, using the alias xQcLoL while he streamed himself playing League of Legends (often abbreviated as LoL).
After high school, Lengyel enrolled in CEGEP, Quebec’s publicly funded college. His major was business administration, but Lengyel decided to drop out of college during his second year since, as he says, he ‘felt directionless’. This is when he started streaming on Twitch.
Personal Life
Between 2016 and 2022, Lengyel was in a relationship with streamer Samantha Lopez, popularly known as adeptthebest or just Adept.
The high-profile streaming couple met when xQc was a professional Overwatch player. The post-breakup feud was highly publicized and even resulted in multiple court cases. Strangely, they decided to air out each other’s dirty laundry in a public breakup stream that quickly went viral. Lopez later shared that she technically still owns xQc’s $300,000 McLaren. xQc doesn’t seem to care and that’s not exactly surprising considering his massive net worth.
A few months after their public breakup, it was uncovered that Lopez was attempting to claim she and Lengyel had a common law marriage, which would entitle her to half of the assets xQc accrued while the two were together. She also filed abuse and sexual assault charges, claiming that he harmed her in the time they were together. xQc has won the legal case.
Just months after the split, xQc appeared with his new girlfriend Nyyxxii in a Twitch stream.
xQc Net Worth: The Streamer’s Financial Success Over the Years
At the age of 19, Lengyel began streaming on Twitch using the pseudonym xQcLoL. “xQc” was derived from the last letter of his first name, which he then combined with the abbreviation for Quebec, his home province.
However, while he initially played League of Legends, he gained worldwide recognition for his Overwatch skills. Let’s see how he succeeded on the streaming platform Twitch – and beyond.
Gaining Recognition with Overwatch
As his streaming career grew slowly, Lengyel decided to change directions and started playing the brand new MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) shooter Overwatch, created by Blizzard. Not long after, he became synonymous with his new title, which he still uses to this day – xQcOW.
xQc became famous for his great energy, as well as a lot of screaming during the streams. Soon enough, he started playing in small online tournaments, initially with DatZit Gaming, and later with Denial eSports.
xQc officially joined the Canadian semi-professional organization DatZit Gaming in August 2016. With them, he won the Dreamhack Montreal 2016 Overwatch tournament. Soon enough, he was invited to join the Overwatch team “Q?”, the organization that was taken over by Denial eSports in October 2016.
Shortly after, Denial disbanded. At one point, xQc shared that Denial eSports owed his team $2900 in unpaid dues.
The Founding of Arc 6
After the company they signed with disbanded, Lengyel and his teammates decided to form an independent roster they called Yikes (to be later renamed Arc 6).
During the group’s tenure, they participated in Season Zero of Overwatch Contenders. At this point, fans started recognizing Lengyel’s competitive nature, since he hardly slept, ate, or did anything else but play.
At around this time, xQc also had the opportunity to represent Team Canada in the 2017 Overwatch World Cup. His team did reach the finals at the tournament, but ultimately lost to the reigning champions South Korea.

Even though they lost, Lengyel left the tournament with a high title – the event’s most valuable player.
Dallas Fuel, Controversies, and Success
After a brief, yet highly successful stint with the Overwatch team Arc 6, xQc announced that he’d be joining a new Overwatch League franchise called Dallas Fuel. xQc signed with Dallas Fuel on October 28th, 2017, to compete in the Overwatch League’s inaugural season.
However, just before the start of the season, Lengyel was suspended twice on his personal Overwatch account from Blizzard. His first suspension was a 72-hour penalty for misusing the game’s reporting system in November 2017. His second suspension was a week-long penalty the following month for throwing games (losing intentionally) on stream.
Lengyel eventually made his debut in the Overwatch League during Fuel’s first match of the season on January 10, 2018. His team lost 1-2 to the Seoul Dynasty.
Right after the Fuel’s third match, another defeat (0-4) against the Houston Outlaws in January 2018, Lengyel made homophobic remarks directed at one of his opponents, Austin “Muma” Wilmot”.
He later issued an apology to Muma on his Twitter account, saying that his comments weren’t intended to be malicious. In response to this incident, the Dallas Fuel team decided to bench Lengyel for the next match, which took place on January 19. They also fined him $2,000 and suspended him for three subsequent matches. His suspension lasted until February 10.
Lengyel returned to the Overwatch League on February 23, in a victory (3-1) over the Los Angeles Gladiators. However, his success didn’t last for long. In March, he received a second fine of $4,000, and a second four-match suspension from the league. The suspension was taken due to his usage of an emote in a “racially disparaging manner” during one of his online streams, as well as “disparaging language” against Overwatch League players and broadcasters on his personal stream and social media profiles.\
Due to his controversial behavior, the Dallas Fuel team released Lengyel a day after his second suspension.
“There are few players out there who have achieved as much success in as short a time as Félix has in competitive Overwatch,” – shared Fuel owner Mike Rufail. “Ultimately, it was in the best interest of our organization and Félix to part ways before the expiration of his contract. No one wants to see Félix succeed more than we do, and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him. I want to thank him for his time and the passion he brought to the Dallas Fuel.”
Despite this backlash, Lengyel shared that he didn’t feel like he had made a mistake, and he only regretted how his actions were misconstrued. When asked about the situation by The Washington Post, he admitted that he was no longer certain that he wanted to pursue a professional eSports career in Overwatch.
xQc is well known for making these kinds of careless and often hurtful comments, an unfortunately common theme in the gaming scene.
Continued Growth in the Streaming Industry
Lengyel had his doubts about continuing, but he didn’t give up. His work in the gaming industry continued for years afterward, but he did shift his focus toward his streaming career.

He initially participated in the League as part of the Contenders Trials NA team called “GOATS”. Subsequently, he joined Gladiation Legion, the academy team of the Los Angeles Gladiators.
In 2018 and 2019, xQc represented Team Canada in the Overwatch World Cups.
In February 2019, Lengyel joined the eSports organization Sentinels as a content creator. By May of the same year, he gained worldwide success as one of the most prominent variety streamers on the Twitch platform.

Despite many controversies and incidents, as well as several bans from the platform, the famous Twitch streamer achieved some of his most notable milestones in this period. In December 2019, he was Twitch’s most-watched streamer with nearly eight million watch times. Overall, he was the sixth-most watched streamer of the year with nearly 54 million hours of watch time.
Chess Twitch Streams and Tournament
In March 2020, xQc started streaming chess on his Twitch stream. In April, his guest was the chess super grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura (one of the two or three best players in the world), who mentored him in the game. He was preparing for PogChamps, a major amateur chess tournament that was launched in collaboration with Chess.com and Twitch.
Unfortunately for xQc, he was defeated in just six moves in a match against Charlie “MoistCr1TiKaL” White, a top YouTube streamer. Despite the rather embarrassing loss, his match was still a success in terms of online entertainment. It became the most-watched video on Chess.com’s YouTube channel, counting over 10 million views by May 2021.
Lengyel reached the consolation bracket semifinals at the PogChamps tournaments and ultimately lost to Ludwig Ahgren, another popular streamer.
Continued Success in Online Streaming
After he requested his release from Sentinels, xQc joined Luminosity Gaming on October 1, 2020. Despite a growing number of bans and controversies on the streaming platform, Lengyel accumulated the highest watch hours in 2020 (over 174 million), which surpassed all other channels by nearly 50 million in watch hours!
The year 2021 was a colossal success for the streamer as well. He had a whopping 163 million hours watched that year. He also maintained the position of most-watched streamer on Twitch, with his peak concurrent viewership reaching 173,000 viewers.
In April 2022, xQc participated in a r/place social experiment on Reddit, in an online canvas where registered users could edit solely by changing a single pixel. During this event on his streams, he targeted a My Little Pony art piece. Somehow, this resulted in many death threats, totaling more than he had throughout all of his years of streaming combined!
Despite the major backlash, he still broke his Twitch record for viewership. The event brought him over 293,000 viewers and, later that same month, he surpassed this record when he streamed a beta build of Overwatch 2 (312,000 viewers).
As of October 2024, xQc has over 12 million followers on his Twitch channel, which ranks as the fifth most-watched channel on the platform.
xQc’s Kick Deal
In January 2023, Lengyel shared that he would be leaving Luminosity Gaming. He subsequently signed a deal with Kick in June 2023, one that added an incredible sum to his already significant wealth. This was around the time that xQc was making a lot of gambling-related content and advertisements, likely for massive sums of money.
Kick is a competitor to Twitch and YouTube, which seems to have been created to dodge rules against gambling advertisements. The platform was even backed by co-founders of the extremely controversial crypto gambling company Stake, which was paying streamers like xQc and Trainwreckz ludicrous sums to gamble on stream. It seems that these ads were more than worth it for the company as xQc’s partnership generated over $119 million in wagers on Stake alone.

The Kick deal was valued at $70 million over two years and established a non-exclusive partnership between the streaming platform and the famous Twitch streamer. On top of this, the agreement included the potential for $30 million in performance-based bonuses.
Media sources rate this deal as one of the largest in the industry and the highest sum known to be signed by a streamer.
These days, xQc ranks among the top 10 most-followed Kick streamers, with his biggest competitor being Adin Ross. On August 5, the two top Kick streamers, Ross and Lengyel met with the former president of the United States Donald Trump in an odd event designed to campaign to win over young men.

xQc’s Streaming Earnings
In October 2021, a media leak exposed the earnings of some of the most popular Twitch streamers, including Lengyel. According to the leak, he was the highest-paid individual streamer and had earned over $8 million since 2019. He later confirmed that this number was correct.
xQc’s streams attract quite a big audience, averaging around 70,000 viewers per stream. According to Marca, this pays Lengyel around $300,000 a month from Twitch alone! That doesn’t include his brand deals or monthly subscriptions, which reportedly amount to over $700,000 in earnings.
This is not the only platform that he is earning money from, though. He decided to convert to full-time Twitch streaming a few years back, but the streamer is also popular on other platforms. His highly popular YouTube channel, for instance, counts over 2.22 million subscribers these days. According to SocialBlade, xQc’s yearly earnings from YouTube alone can reach over half a million dollars, most of which comes from ad revenue.
In addition to his Twitch payouts, Lengyel has earned a fair amount of money playing professional Overwatch, as well. During the Overwatch World Cup in 2017, when he was voted the MVP, his team reportedly earned around $200,000. He has reportedly earned $53,662 from 34 tournaments to date.
In addition to this, xQc has spent years being part of multiple eSports organizations, which have most likely added hundreds of thousands – if not millions to his net worth.
Controversies
As mentioned, Lengyel faced many controversies during his streaming career. In July 2019, for instance, he was banned from Twitch for three days after he streamed a video that contained explicit content. His ban was lifted after one day only.
A year later, he faced a series of bans. In February, he received another three-day ban from Twitch for streaming explicit content once again, this time in the game Strip 4: Classmate Study. Twitch upheld this ban, but this gave the game quite the attention with it reaching the top of Steam’s ‘new and trending’ list.
During PocChamps in 2020, Lengyel received a 24-hour ban on the platform after he accidentally opened a video of gorillas engaging in sexual activity. One of his viewers submitted the video. In November, he and his team stream sniped an opposing team (secretly watched their stream during the competition) during a Fall Guys Twitch Rivals event. This resulted in his fourth suspension and a seven-day ban, as well as a six-month ban from Twitch Rivals. He also had to forfeit his prize winnings from this event.

What Else Contributes to xQc’s Net Worth in 2024?
In addition to his streaming earnings, xQc has been earning a fortune from various sources such as merchandise sales, brand deals, and more.
Sponsorship Deals
As a former professional Overwatch, Lengyel has signed several brand deals with major companies including G Fuel, Verizon, and MetaThreads, among others.
During one of his live streams in February 2020, he accidentally leaked a deal with Verizon for a promotion of some products. He stood to make $11,000 from this deal alone, and this excludes the money he got as a commission in case viewers bought products using his code.
Ventures and Investments
xQc has used his wealth and recognition to venture into businesses outside of his Twitch or Kick career. He has a clothing brand called The Lengyel Brand. The business had its first drop in December 2023, consisting of t-shirts and hoodies.
However, Lengyel has shared that he doesn’t plan to launch more stuff.
Assets and Expenditures
Despite his fame, xQc continues to live a private life, so his expenditures are not publicly shared. He lives in Texas, though his real estate assets remain a secret.
However, the full-time streamer has been living quite a lavish life, and some of his purchases have been shared by the media. He doesn’t have a driver’s license, but he does own the $300,000 McLaren 720s Spider, which was in the headlines because of his ex-girlfriend. In addition to this, xQc owns:
- Lamborghini Huracan worth around $300,000
- BMW X6 M worth $110,000
- Tesla Model 3 worth $35,000
His Audemars Piguet watch is worth $330,000, and he also has a diamond-studded Rolex and many chains.
What Can We Learn from xQc’s Story?
xQc’s story offers several valuable lessons for those interested in content creation, gaming, and personal branding. His journey shows how passion, when pursued persistently, can turn into quite a lucrative career. He started streaming as a hobby, but by following his passion for gaming, he turned this into an opportunity to earn millions of dollars.
Throughout his career, xQc faced numerous controversies and challenges, as well as bans. However, he has consistently bounced back stronger. This resilience is impressive, and it teaches us that setbacks are often temporary if you remain committed to your goals.
xQc leveraged platforms like Twitch, and more recently Kick, to build a strong personal brand. By diversifying his content and platforms, and connecting with his audience, he grew beyond just an Overwatch player to become a top variety streamer.
This emphasizes the importance of building a personal brand, as well as stepping out of your comfort zone and expanding your reach beyond a single niche.
Finally, xQc’s work ethic, especially during his competitive gaming years, involved long hours of practice and a lot of dedication. He streamed consistently and built a loyal fan base over time. Such consistency is what played the biggest role in his rise to prominence. It goes to show that overnight success is often the result of years of hard work.
