Druski’s Early Life
Druski was born Drew Desbordes on September 12, 1994, in Columbia, Maryland. His mother worked at the US State Department and his father worked as a commercial pilot after serving in the US armed forces.
Druski’s parents watched popular comedians like Cedric The Entertainer and Dave Chappelle on television, introducing him to the world of comedy. He started developing comedic talent quite early and love to make his parents laugh by speaking in various accents. He attended South Gwinnett High School where he often made jokes and was a class clown.
“My goal was to always be the funniest in class every year, but I never even thought I would be a comedian. For some reason, I never put the pieces together,” said Druski in a discussion with Complex.
After high school, Druski attended one semester at Georgia Gwinnett College and another at Georgia Southern University but he eventually dropped out entirely. By this point, Druski knew what he wanted to do: comedy. Initially, his family wasn’t too supportive, but he followed his dream anyway.
Druski’s Career Beginnings
Druski started uploading his comedic skits on Instagram under the handle “druski2funny”. He played diverse characters, including a ruthless record label executive, and his followers loved it. Before long, Druski was so popular that he was able to partner with star Kentucky rapper Jack Harlow, and they collaborated on both skits and music videos.
Revolt and Adidas started a new series called “Sneakin’ In With Druski” in 2021 where Druski hosted guests like Yung Miami. Later that year, Druski appeared as the opening act on J. Cole and 21 Savage’s The Off-Season Tour. That event helped Druski increase his following significantly by introducing him to many new fans.
Druski also tried his luck in movies and made his film debut with a cameo in “House Party.” He also played the lead supporting actor in “Praise This” and was also cast in the final season of Grown-ish. This seems to only be the beginning of his film career as he is working on multiple major projects right now.
In 2019, Drusky launched his satirical record label Coulda Been Records. While it started as a joke, it helped launch the careers of several stars.

Even though Druski is extraordinarily wealthy already, he knows that he is only getting started.
“What’s my Yeezy moment? What’s my Fenty Beauty? What’s my business that I do that blows up for billions of dollars outside of comedy?” said Druski in the interview with Complex. He wants to start a business like Kanye West’s Yeezy or Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty alongside his comedy career, but so far, it’s unclear what it might be.
What Made Druski So Successful?

Speaking with Forbes, Druski said, “I think just being a class clown early on that’s what kind of grooved me in my career.” Using passion as a driving force is a common theme with many of the world’s most successful people, but it’s far from the only factor.
