Play-to-Earn meme coin project Tamadoge has now released its first batch of NFTs – with their ultra-rare collection on sale for six more days.

The 100 NFTs will boast improved stats in the Tamagotchi-style game that sees owners care for and grow their pets before battling them against other players.

Winning battles will see players vie for position on a global leaderboard, with the top players earning rewards and TAMA tokens.

TAMA has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the last couple of weeks, quickly becoming the third-largest meme coin by volume and only trailing Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.

The coin pumped to an all-time high of $0.194 earlier this week – nearly 2,000% higher than its early presale price of $0.01 and xxx% higher than its initial listing price of $0.03.

Currently trading at around $0.07, the coin is still up more than 200% from its initial exchange offering (IEO) price on OKX and a rumored listing on Binance should see the price pump again soon.

What are Tamadoge NFTs?

Unlike most meme coin projects, Tamadoge not only has the potential for high returns but offers a much wider ecosystem – dubbed the Tamaverse.

The NFT pets are the first step into the Tamaverse.

A total of 21,100 pets will eventually be released on the market – 100 ultra-rare, 1,000 rare and 20,000 common – with each having unique design, traits and abilities.

Like 90s craze Tamagotchi, holders of the pets will feed, care for and grow their pets into adults before they do battle and we’ve named it our best NFT game for 2022.

They grow them by buying digital assets such as food, toys and treats from the pet store, which also acts as the deflationary mechanism for TAMA, with 5% of all pet store transactions being burned.

The ultra-rare pets have boosted agility, awareness and speed, giving owners a 90% improved change of placing higher up the leaderboard.

The Tamadoge team are currently developing other P2E arcade games in their ecosystem, while later in the roadmap the pets will become 3D and then leap off the screen in an augmented reality app.

That will allow owners to take their pets out into the real world to explore and hunt for treasure.

How to buy Ultra-Rare Tamadoge NFTs

The ultra-rare pets are currently for sale via auction on leading Ethereum NFT marketplace OpenSea.

With a starting price of 1ETH (approx. $1,350), the highest bid placed on a pet at the time of writing is already 1.8ETH (approx. $2,440)

Because the process is done via auction, investors will need to hold Wrapped ETH (WETH) to make their bid.

The auction will run six more days, closing on Thursday, October 13 at 2pm UTC.

Step 1: Connect to OpenSea

You will need a MetaMask or alternative wallet to connect to OpenSea.

Step 2: Find Tamadoge NFT Collection

You will need to find the Tamadoge ultra-rare collection.

Be careful to ensure you select the correct collection – the link is above – and be wary of fake collections.

Then find the individual NFT pet you wish to bid on.

You can see others’ bids by clicking on individual pets.

Step 3: Hold WETH

You must ensure you have enough Wrapped ETH (WETH) in your MetaMask wallet to place a bid.

It can be bought on UniSwap and transferred to MetaMask or bought directly on MetaMask with a debit/credit card.

Simply follow the instructions on screen.

Please note you will need to allow slightly more than you wish to bid to account for gas.

Step 4: Place Bid

Finally, click the ‘Place Bid’ button and sign off on the request and wait until the auction is complete.
