Have you typed ‘Zerg rush’ into Google yet? Doing so will bring up an easter egg that makes the ‘Os’ from the Google logo attack and eat away at your search results until there’s nothing left.
Clicking on the Os can destroy them, and you’ll see a counter on the right with your progress. I don’t know if this is a new addition to Google’s easter eggs or if this has been around a while and just trending now. Either way, it’s kinda fun!
CNN explains, “In gaming terms, a “Zerg rush” is when a player is swarmed by a huge number of weak opponents. Any one of the bad guys is easy to take out, but the threat is that they’ll overwhelm you with sheer numbers.” The article went to explain that zerg rush “came from “Starcraft,” a 1998 real-time strategy game in which a player could choose to play as “Zergs,” an alien race.”
Bryan Laurienti, co-owner of BBB Systems, said that Zerg rush is just one of many easter eggs that can be found on Google. This includes typing in “Do a barrel roll, Chuck Norris Google, or tilt,” in a Google search. If you haven’t tried those yet, check them out and see what happens.
